    it comes and goes... whenever I notice him scratching I put some drops in his ears. I wish the vet could give him some kind of oral antibiotic.. but I guess she knows best lol :)

    We have two Bostons, and the younger has had an ear infection just about all of his life! We're still working on getting rid of it. We get it almost gone and then it's back again. It's a yeast infection, rather than a bacterial infection, which is good, I guess, since it's not some super-resistant bug or something. Anyway!!! I feel your pain! And we do have some anti-fungal oral meds that we're currently giving him, so maybe you can ask about it!

    Interesting! I should ask about that the next time I'm at the vet. His ears get really hot to the touch, and red... he scratches at them which causes sores in his ears. The vet says he has narrow ear canals so dirt and bacteria get stuck in there, but I can see how a yeast infection would be easy to get in an ear like that. Right now I'm just treating him with a mineral oil / antibacterial drop that the vet prescribed, seems to soothe them but not really solving the problem :)
